Today we used Emily's work, and her time on Navorama as an excuse to do very little. We are still getting used to the 30°+ heat, and the air conditioned apartment is very much appreciated.
There was some good schoolwork from the kids, including Jowan hitting GCSE level. We made sure Emily was fed and watered, and got through some clothes washing that was overdue, before going to the nearest supermarket to top up on essentials (wine and ice cream).
With the temperature cooling in the evening, we decided to go for a drive to Porat. We had a lovely stroll along the waterside, and a bit of a clamber over some wilder parts. We found some sea urchins and crabs, and tried to get some good sunset shots in one direction, and storm cloud shots in the other. The storm over the mainland coastal mountains seemed to be heading slowly towards us, so it was time to call it a night and go back to sample the local wine.
